NewCalc Locking Titles

Locking titles are a new feature in NewCalc in Release 3. When you lock titles, the rows and columns you lock remain visible on screen even while you scroll other parts of the spreadsheet off the screen. This can be handy for keeping track of your location while entering data into large spreadsheets.

To lock titles, select the first cell below your column titles and to the right of your row titles, then choose Lock Rows / Columns from the View menu.

To unlock titles, select Unlock Rows / Columns from the View menu.

Note: If you plan to share spreadsheets electronically with people who are using older versions of NewCalc, remember to unlock titles before saving the file, or else your friends may see only the unlocked portion of your spreadsheet.
